Desmond has over 20 years of experience in lead roles executing construction builds in the Pharmaceutical sector. With considerable knowledge of and experience in converting existing buildings to suit new processes within facilities that have live process and production ongoing. Empirical experience of the challenges of building complicated structural modification projects whilst maintaining the integrity of live GMP adjacencies.
Starting his career as a builder provided an excellent overview of the challenges of multiple aspects of the build which in turn enables a solution based ethos. This has also been very beneficial in being able to work closely with designers so that build-ability is considered at the earliest stage possible with the project life cycle. A personal and professional ethos of convincing contractors and vendors to buy into the clients’ vision is a mainstay of his and Adamson Pharma’s management style, this tact has served both the vendor and clients well as we work often with the same vendors who we consider partners in the challenges that arise. Strong organisational skills encompassing concept, design, quality, to handover to the client.
